CAPSULE CARAVAN

Le marché du caravanning est dominé par les personnes du troisième âge et des personnes à la retraite. Le caravanning est vu par les jeunes générations comme une mode « Old School » et dépassée. L’intérêt de ce projet, réalisation du designer industriel David Tonkinson, est de créer un nouvel élan visant les jeunes générations. Cette mini caravane pour deux personnes fait appel à un design moderne et innovant, mais également à des matériaux la rendant très légère et de ce fait pouvant être tractée par une petite voiture. En position fermée le module ne fait que 2,20 m x 3,90m et en position ouverte elle occupe une place de 2,40m x 4,80m. L’intérieur se compose de deux parties : d’un côté le « Comfort Pod » où l’on peut s’asseoir et se coucher. De l’autre, le « Service Pod » qui offre un coin cuisine, rangements et sanitaires. La large baie vitrée centrale dispose d’un film électro chromatique qui s’opacifie ou s’éclaircit à volonté. Voila de quoi donner des idées de week-end champêtres. VIA
